The Director General, Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS), Chief Obinna Nwaka has described the Ijumu Kogi State born politician and lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke as an accessible, loyal, committed and detribalized leader.
According to CYMS leader, Faleke can work under pressure and also understands both economic and political situation, as a politician and wished he could be considered for Chief of Staff or Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF in the next administration.
Nwaka who hails from Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo State made this assertion while addressing members of CYMS and other party stakeholders from FCT shortly after the inaguaration of Members of the Boards under the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCTA) where one of his colleagues, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim Baiyee the CYMS’s Director Finance was inagurated as a Board Member of the Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB) on Tuesday at the FCDA secretariat headquarters Abuja.
The development was prompted during an interview by the Media to ascertain the reward system of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with reference to the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.
The CYMS’s Director General, Chief Obinna Nwaka emphasized on his optimism of better opportunity and improved political reward system for APC loyalists following the continuation of the APC Presidency, citing that the appointment of Hon James Faleke as the Secretary of APC Presidential Campaign Council by the President-Elect, Sen Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu is an indication that the next administration is prepared for good reward system especially when considered a man such as Hon James Faleke, who understands the system, a Christian, accessible, committed politician.
He said that Faleke is a man, who had worked and suffered for the actualization of Tinubu’s presidency over decades, saying he deserved to be Chief of Staff or Secretary to the Government of the Federation in the next administration.
Nwaka stressed that Faleke’s loyalty to Asiwaju had cost him the opportunity to be the Governor of Kogi State when late Prince Audu Abubakar the governor-elect whom he ran a joint ticket with died.
According to him, “Faleke would have been Governor of Kogi State seven years ago when the unfortunate incident happened, that opportunity was truncated by some politicians both from Kogi and beyond because of his loyalty and cordial relationship with Asiwaju.
“Though we are glad, that after the 2023 political armegeddon, APC won in the center, we are hoping that Asiwaju will encourage him to serve as his Chief of Staff to enable him continue his good work”.
When asked further about his accessment, he said, ” Faleke that I know, is an unbiased, understanding christian, politician and a quintessential leader with ability to withstand pressure and always ready to salvage any predicaments liable to affect the victory of Asiwaju,
“In spite our relationship, I worked with him closely during the most sensitive moment of the election before the official declaration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed as the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the INEC, his humility, accessibility and prompt intervention made the work easier for us”.
Nwaka, who also served as a member of APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), said their members were trained, deployed nationwide to monitor the entire process of 2023 general election as contained in the electoral circle of the INEC.
While CYMS is an evaluation and monitoring body with structures at the states’ levels across the Federation, it’s engaged by the Presidency in 2018 with the mandate to sensitize and promote the policies and programmes of the Federal Government.
