Kwara Gov Mourns Sheikh Bahinda Atiku

Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has commiserated with the people of Kaiama on the death of a foremost Muslim leader Sheikh Muhammad Bahinda Atiku, describing it as an end of a great era.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, on Tuesday in Ilorin.

The Governor said the late Sheikh died at age of 104, describing him as great spiritual leader, who was known for his devotion and piety.

“We commiserate with the immediate family, including the Special Adviser on Civic Matters to the Governor Mallam Atiku and the thousands of followers and admirers of the late Sheikh.

“We ask Allah to grant the late Sheikh Bahinda Atiku al-jannah Firdaus and keep his household on a firm footing of faith”, he said. (NAN)
