Kwara Govt Pledges To Promote Religious Harmony – Deputy Gov

The Kwara State government has again reiterated its resolve to promote religious harmony to engender peace and development of the State.

The State Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi stated this while speaking at this year’s Nite Carol of the Christian Association of Nigeria themed “King of Kings” held at CAN Land Budo Jesu, Ganmo.

Speaking through the Special Adviser on Religion, Reverend Timothy Akangbe, the Deputy Governor said the State government would not relent in making life easier for the people.

Mr. Alabi called on the people to continue to support the programmes and policies of the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq’s administration.

Also speaking, CAN State Chairman, Right Reverend Sunday Adewole represented by the State Secretary of the Association, Barrister Shina Ibiyemi charged Christians not to sell their vote, participate actively and vote during the 2023 Election to elect credible leaders.

In his sermon, Pastor Abel Aiyedogbon called on Christians to always appreciate the blessings of God in their lives and be ready for the glorious end.

Similarly, the Carol programme of Radio Kwara, KWTV and Herald Newspaper Christian Fellowship holds on Wednesday at the Broadcasting House, Police road, GRA, Ilorin starting at three o clock in the afternoon and will be followed with that of the NUJ Christian Fellowship on Friday at the NUJ Press Center Ilorin also at three o clock in the afternoon.
