Bloody Clash By Gangsters Claim Two Lives In Offa – Police

Two persons were feared killed in Offa Kwara State when some suspected gangsters from Isale Offa and Ojale areas both engaged in bloody clashed on Sunday.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Kwara State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Okasanmi Ajayi in Ilorin on Sunday.

Ajayi said that one Samad Adeyemi ‘m’ aged 21yrs of Isale Offa and one Abdulahi Mohammed ‘m’ aged 20yrs of Ojale were shot dead by the gangsters during the disturbance.

He said peace and order has since been restored in the ancient town following the disturbances created by the hoodlums.

“Kwara State Police Command wishes to allay the fears of members of the public, especially the people of Offa and its environs, that peace have been totally restored in the ancient city, the members of the public are therefore advised to go about their normal lawful daily endeavors.

“This assurance of peace and security of the citizens becomes pertinent due to the public disturbance experienced today 24/04/2022 at about 1130hrs, when some suspected gangsters from Isale Offa and Ojale areas both in Offa clashed.

“Before the arrival of Police men dispatched to the scene, two of the clashing gangsters named Samad Adeyemi ‘m’ aged 21yrs of Isale Offa and one Abdulahi Mohammed ‘m’ aged 20yrs of Ojale have been shot dead.

Investigation into the matter is however in progress. The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Police Command, Cp Tuesday Assayomo psc (+) has stationed men from the Command’s Tactical Units, conventional police teams and operatives from the intelligence department to monitor the situation and ensure no further break down of law and order is allowed.
