Police recover corpse of lady killed in hotel in Kwara

The Kwara State Police Command has recovered the corpse of a lady, whose identity was yet to be uncovered, in an hotel in Adewole Estate of Ilorin West Local Government Area.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Okasanmi Ajayi (ANIPR), in a statement in Ilorin on Tuesday, the police have launched a manhunt for suspected killer.
“On 28/5/2021, at about 1930HRS while responding to a call from one Olalekan Anafi ‘m’ the supervisor of Premium Diamond Hotel Adewole area Ilorin that on 27/5/2021 at about 1400HRS, one Adegboye James ‘m’ of No12 Okelewo street Ede, Osun State lodged at the above mentioned hotel.
“The said Adegboye James went out and came back with a lady.
“The said Adegboye James later checked out of the hotel without the said the knowledge of any of the hotel staff.
“In the morning of the following day, when nothing was heard from the room occupied by the said lodger, a spare key was used to open the room.
“When the room was opened, we’re confronted by the dead body of the lady.
“Investigation into the incident is already at advance stage as ordered by the commissioner of police Kwara State, CP Mohammed Lawal Bagega, psc, to arrest the lodger whose name and address as reflected in the hotels log book is fake.
“This release becomes necessary to enable members of the public that his or her daughter or female ward is missing since the day of the incident to visit the Homicide section of the Kwara State Police Command CID for possible identification of the corpse for release.
“The picture of the deceased is attached to this release, please,” he said.
